A practical design and fabrication capability for parts that need to fit a specific vehicle, device, workspace, or project.

Planned uses

  • Prototype parts before final fabrication
  • Custom brackets and equipment mounts
  • Organizers, clips, spacers, and cable-management pieces
  • Protective enclosures and control housings
  • Trim pieces and difficult-to-source replacements
  • Modified versions of an existing customer-provided part

From problem to part

The process will begin with the original part, measurements, photographs, operating environment, and required function. A digital model can then be created or modified, printed, test-fitted, and refined.

Material and environment matter

Parts used around heat, sunlight, chemicals, vibration, moisture, or repeated force require material selection that matches the environment. A successful shape alone does not prove that a part is safe for its intended use.

Safety boundary

3D-printed parts will not be represented as suitable for braking, steering, towing attachment, occupant restraint, structural loading, high-current electrical protection, or other safety-critical functions without appropriate engineering, material validation, and testing.

Current status

The printer, materials, design workflow, tolerances, and repeatability must be acquired and verified before this capability is advertised as available for customer orders.
