The work, plainly

  • Running, brake, and turn-signal lighting diagnosis and repair
  • Wiring replacement, connector repair, plug repair, and ground correction
  • Corrosion cleanup and weatherproof connections

Tow packages

Packages are built around the tow vehicle, trailer, connector, loaded trailer weight, tongue weight, and manufacturer ratings. Parts and labor are quoted after fitment and towing requirements are confirmed.

  • Hitch Ready: vehicle-specific standard receiver hitch installation, required mounting hardware, torque verification, and final inspection
  • Tow Ready: Hitch Ready package plus a custom-fit 4-pin or compatible trailer-wiring connection, protected routing, and complete lighting-function testing
  • Brake-Control Ready: Tow Ready package configured for a compatible 7-way connector and trailer brake controller, with vehicle compatibility and service scope confirmed before booking
  • Build Your Own: ball mounts, hitch balls, adapters, E-track, tie-down anchors, trailer jacks, roof racks, tonneau covers, ladder racks, bike racks, cargo carriers, grille guards, and other compatible towing or vehicle accessories

Safety and fitment

A hitch or accessory does not increase the vehicle manufacturer's towing capacity. The lowest-rated component in the vehicle, hitch, ball mount, hitch ball, wiring, trailer, tire, axle, or cargo system controls the usable limit.

Customer and installer must confirm the correct hitch class, receiver size, ball size, rise or drop, gross trailer weight, tongue weight, connector, and trailer-brake requirements. Structural modification, intensive hitch installation, suspension work, trailer axles, tires, wheel bearings, and hydraulic brake work may be declined or referred when outside verified capability or insurance coverage.

Authorized etrailer dealer

Downey Enterprise can supply trailer wiring, brake controllers, lighting, hitches, and towing accessories at dealer pricing, then install them correctly.

Customer-supplied parts are also welcome. Parts can be shipped to the shop after booking details are confirmed.

Good to know

Intermittent lighting often traces back to a poor ground or corroded connection. The goal is to repair the cause, not mask the symptom.

We handle trailer-side lighting and wiring. Tow-vehicle brake and towing systems are assessed first, and we will say when a registered repair facility is the right call.
